Das Shiraz Ensemble wurde 2014 von Sattar Soltanfar mit dem Ziel gegründet, die Arbeit junger Komponisten vorzustellen. Sattar ist selbst Komponist und hat seitdem mit zahlreichen Star-Instrumentalisten und Komponisten zusammengearbeitet.
Das Shiraz-Ensembles reflektiert über Alltagserfahrungen und folgt den ästhetischen Prinzipien der persischen Dastgahi-Traditionen.
Die reiche und vielfältige Folkloreszene im Iran und den Nachbarländern inspiriert zur Zusammenarbeit mit Belutschen, Aserbaidschanern und anderen Musikern aus der Region.
Auf der neuen Europa-Tournee ist das Publikum eingeladen ein gemeinsames Konzept – iranische Musik – aus verschiedenen kulturellen Perspektiven zu entdecken.

Shiraz Ensemble was founded in 2014 by Sattar Soltanfar, with a mission to introduce the work of young composers. A composer himself, Sattar has collaborated with numerous elite instrumentalists and composers ever since. The focus of Shiraz ensemble has been to remain loyal to the aesthetic principles of Persian Dastgahi traditions while reflecting on the experiences of the day’s life. 
Shiraz Ensemble has also taken advantage of the rich and diverse folklore scene in and around Iran, collaborating with Baluch, Azeri and other musicians from around the region. 
Shiraz Ensemble begins its new European concert tour by inviting some Iranian professional musicians and improvisers from Germany. The purpose of this gathering is to collaborate and share their experiences to discover and perform a common concept – Iranian Music – from different cultural perspectives. Sattar Soltanfar (Tar & Setar player) as director and composer with Elham Dorali (Tar & Setar) as residents of homeland, Iran, and Farid Gheysari (Ney), Ehsan Hosseiny (Kamancheh), Babak Babarabiei (Percussions) that they live in Germany for many years.
